Bailey Davidson was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, in 1972, and through the years, has learned to embrace his small town beginnings. He has been making images for over 15 years, and has received several awards in his field, including two regional Silver ADDY Awards for his work with Lounge Magazine.
Before becoming a full time photographer, Bailey was a professional actor in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and NYC. After earning a BA in Theatre Performance in 1995, he continued his theatrical studies at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training, and the famed, Actors Studio.
Although acting remains a staple in his life, in 1999, a career change was made, and Bailey moved to Savannah, Georgia to earn his MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Since graduating, he has been working as a full time freelance photographer. Although Savannah is home base, he is not limited to any region of the country; taking assignments as far away as California and New York.
Bailey has been showing his work in a professional environment since the early 1990's. He has numerous solo, and group, exhibitions to his credit and his fine art is currently represented by The Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as, Mason Murer Fine Art, in Atlanta, GA. |
